The Mechanic will work to ensure the safest, most efficient operation of our can making machinery. The ideal mechanic will haveThree to 5 years background in an industrialized environment andor equivalent combination of experienceeducation. Intermediate mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and power transmission background. Background with hydraulics, centrifugal pumps, machinery alignment, proper handling of bearingsand gears, chain drives and power transmission. Background with conveying systems, motors, and variable speed drives Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting all production line equipment associated with the process to prevent and or correct mechanical and electrical breakdown. Basic reading and written correspondence expertise ability to read and interpret blueprints. Ability to comprehend complex verbal and written instructions. Ability to perform basic mathematic functions. Basic knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.Demonstrate requirements through hands on execution, simulation andor discussion of mechanical and computer skills. Intermittent bendingstoopingreachingcrouchingwalking. Ability to work shifts, overtime and weekends workplace atmosphere may be hot or cold at times given the outside temperatures. Ability to read Micrometers and understand precision measurement. Must provide personal tools. PLC, electrical troubleshooting skills, and 2 years technical degree a plus.
